Traditionally, a śāstra was learned in person from a teacher who had learned it from theirs. The academy means to teach the same way.

What the courses do today
The published courses are written from the texts themselves. Each syllabus names the texts it teaches from, and each reading list names the edition it uses and whether that edition is reproduced or only cited.

A teacher is named here only once they have agreed to teach a programme, and is introduced in their own words. No teacher is named yet.
When one is, this page will say which programme they teach, who taught them, and the titles they hold, as the institutions that granted them record them.
